Senior Vice President, Finance

Mike Arend is an established leader in the finance and accounting world with more than 12 years of experience. Maintaining a passion for helping companies reach their goals, Mike brings a level of expertise and advanced consulting services to every aspect of his work. As a member of the Junk Works team from almost the beginning, Mike served as the Director of Finance since November 2010 and advanced to Senior Director of Finance in January 2014. Now as the Senior Vice President of Finance, Mike has played an instrumental role in helping Junk Works succeed and will continue to be an integral part of the team.

Prior to Junk Works, Mike was the Financial Manager of FCE Benefit Administrators in Burlingame, California. He also worked for the City of Tracy, California in a multi-facetted role as an analyst, planner and member of the Economic Development Leadership Board. In addition, Mike strives to assist as many companies as possible and has been providing consulting services for accounting, finance, private and IRS audits throughout San Francisco since 2007.

Residing in San Francisco, Mike enjoys all things college sports in his free time. As an Iowa State and Wisconsin fan, Mike can be found cheering on both schools during his time off.
